Removing slit and dirt gathered in the Periyakulam tank, Yaka Wava, Ethala Vidda Wawa, Mahawilachchiya Gulupeththa tank and Nochchiyagama Nakeththegama tank was commenced under the patronage of   Hon. Basil Rohana Rajapaksa, Senior adviser to the President and Minister of Economic Development on August 22nd  in Anuradhapura.

In this occasion Hon Minister  participated to open Kadawaththegama – Kagadaranawa road, Usgollawa – Puliyankulam road and black gram factory in Mahavilachchiya, Bogaha Junction.As well as Hon. Minister commenced development works of road from Uththra Saliya Temple to Puliyankulam

S.M. Chandrasena, Minister of Agrarian Services and wild life , Tissa Karaliyadda, Minister of Child Development and Women’s Affairs, W.B. Ekanayake Deputy Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management,  Duminda Dissanayake, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development , Weerakumara Dissanayake, Deputy Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development also participated at this occasion.
