Rajarata Tank rehabilitation programme inaugurate
Under the instruction of the President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Hon. Basil Rajapaksa, Senior Adviser to the H.E. President and Minister of Economic Development inaugurated the programme to renovate all dilapidated tanks and irrigation systems in the Rajarata area on 28th August.
In this occasion Hon Minister commenced the rehabilitation works of 10 tanks in Horowpathana electorate division, Anuradhapura East electorate division, Mihinthalaya electorate division and Kalawava electorate division.
Under the Rajarata Tank rehabilitation programme around 1100 medium and minor irrigation schemes in North Central province will be renovated.
Ministers S. M. Chandrasena, Salinda Disanayaka, Deputy Ministers W. B. Ekanayake, Weerakumara Disanayaka, Duminda Disanayaka and politicians participated.
