60 new houses for war heroes in Gampaha District from “Api Wenuwen Api”
H.E. President Mahinda Rajapaksa handed over keys of Another 60 houses constructed under “Api Wenuwen Api” fund for war heroes in Gampaha District today (15).
The main event was held under the patronage of H.E. President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Delwagura in Gampaha district. P.L.L. Perera received the key to his new house from the Chief Guest the President.
Today, 42 war heroes of the Sri Lanka Army, 12 war heroes of the Sri Lanka Navy and 6 war heroes of the Sri Lanka Air Force received keys of their new houses. Total number of 60 houses was given ownership to war heroes today.
The “Api Wenuwen Api” housing project is a concept of H.E. the President Mahinda Rajapaksa and operates under the close guidance and instructions of Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Hon. Basil Rajapaksa, Senior Adviser to the President and Minister of Economic Development, Felix Perera, Minister of Social Service, Prasanna Ranathunga, Chief Minister of the Western Provincial Council, Alawi Maulana, Governor of the Western Provincial council , Deputy Minister, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Dulip Wijesekara, Sarana Gunawardhana, Members of Parliament Ven. Athuraliye Rathana, Ruwan Ranathunga, Kamala Ranathunga, Upeksha Swarnamali, Lalith Weerathunga, Secretary to the H.E. the President, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary to the Ministry of Defense and Urban Development and Three forces Commanders were also among the distinguished gathering present.
