Department of Commissioner General of Samurdhi
The duty of this Department is to implement programmes for the benefit of the Samurdhi receiving families under the Samurdhi programme. Five main divisions have been established within the institute in order to accomplish this goal. They are:
- Samurdhi Relief section
- Development Section
- Social Security Section
- Administration Section
- Accounts Section
To encounter the Department’s targets, some specific functions have been assigned for these sections and the officers of these sections are performing their duties with great enthusiasm, dedication and a zeal of duty in Co-operation with other sections.
Objectives:
· To identify low-income families and implement relief programmes for them.
· To implement social security programmes for beneficiaries with their contribution.
· To provide facilities for the education of children of Samurdhi recipient families.
· To improve nutrition level of mothers of recipient families.
